Edo Governor Urges APC Unity Ahead of 2027 Elections

On Thursday, Edo State Governor Senator Mondai Okpebholo called on leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to unite in preparation for the 2027 general elections. This appeal was made during an interactive meeting with APC stakeholders in the Esan Central Local Government Area, held at the governor's residence in Irua.

Okpebholo emphasized the need for collective efforts to ensure the party's success and urged members to set aside differences. He expressed confidence in President Bola Tinubu's strong support for Edo State and highlighted the positive impact of federal government infrastructure interventions, particularly the rehabilitation of the Ekpoma-Ehor road.

Okpebholo also mentioned the removal of fuel subsidies by the Tinubu administration as a difficult but necessary decision aimed at redirecting resources for national development. Additionally, APC Deputy State Chairman Sylvest Aigboboh encouraged party members to continue supporting the administration to achieve victory in the upcoming local government elections.
