Edo State Launches E-DON Initiative for Digital Education

The Edo State government reaffirmed its commitment to digital education during the unveiling of the TETFund-sponsored Electronic Education Initiative (E-DON) at the Federal College of Education (Technical) Ekiadolor. Victor Ureshemi Akande, Special Adviser to Governor Monday Okpebholo on Student Affairs and Mobilization, stated that the introduction of the 98-inch QR Interactive Smart Board and its 3D Animation Educational Software represents a significant advancement in educational technology.

Akande emphasized that this initiative showcases the potential of home-grown innovation to enhance education, ensuring students have access to world-class digital learning tools necessary for global competitiveness. He noted the importance of artificial intelligence and digital technology in modern education, asserting that institutions that embrace these innovations are better equipped to produce graduates who can contribute to national development.

The Governor's administration, through its SHINE Agenda, is dedicated to promoting digital learning and strategic partnerships to improve educational infrastructure across both tertiary and basic education institutions.
