Young APC Candidate Wins Ovia South West Election

Anthoni Osarobo, representing the All Progressives Congress (APC), was elected as the chairman of Ovia South West Local Government in Edo State, receiving 98,994 votes during the local government elections held on Saturday. The results were announced by Dr.

Arodoy Nosakhar of the Edo State Independent Electoral Commission, confirming Osarobo's victory over candidates from 11 political parties. The APC candidate significantly outperformed others, with the next highest vote being 28 from the Allied People's Movement.

Osarobo, at 30 years old, becomes one of the youngest politicians to hold this position, expressing gratitude for the overwhelming mandate from the electorate. The election process was praised for its transparency and peaceful conduct, with Governor Mondai Okpebholo commending the voter turnout and the orderly nature of the election.
