NIS Suspends Online Visa Applications in the US

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has announced the immediate suspension of its online visa application services in the United States. This decision affects Nigerian residents in the U.S. who require visas to enter Nigeria.

According to a statement signed by DCI Akinsola Akinlabi, the NIS has disengaged from the online integrated solution that previously handled Nigerian visa applications in the U.S. Consequently, applicants must now submit their visa applications directly to the Nigerian embassies located in Washington D.C., New York, or Atlanta.

The NIS has assured the public that the embassies and consulates will implement adequate measures to ensure a seamless submission process and issuance of visa applications. The NIS encourages applicants to monitor official communication channels for updates regarding visa application procedures and expresses appreciation for the public's understanding and cooperation during this transition.
