Education Minister Lauds REA's Renewable Energy Leadership

At the launch of the Renewable Asset Management Company (RAMCO) in Abuja, Dr. Tunji Alausa, the Minister of Education, commended Abba Aliyu, the Managing Director of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), for his transformational leadership. Alausa noted that the achievements of the REA under Aliyu's management over the past two years surpassed those of the previous decade.

He specifically mentioned that the University of Abuja now benefits from a 3.2MW installation providing 24-hour electricity, crucial for uninterrupted research. Alausa emphasized the importance of reliable power for effective teaching, research, and overall student experience.

He stated that maintaining renewable energy assets requires technical competence and accountability. The creation of RAMCO is seen as a necessary step towards sustainable management of renewable energy assets, aiming to enhance professionalism and ensure optimal performance through a proactive approach.
