EFCC Arrests Herbalists with $3.4M Counterfeit Notes in Ibadan

The EFCC arrested a syndicate of five herbalists in Ibadan, uncovering $3.4 million and €280,000 in counterfeit foreign notes. The suspects, including Halima Sanni and others, were accused of defrauding victims of millions of naira by promising spiritual solutions to various ailments.

The arrests took place in a shrine in Osun, Lagos State, following thorough surveillance and intelligence gathering. The suspects allegedly used fake spiritual practices to deceive victims into providing money and sacrificial items.

Investigations are ongoing, and the suspects will be charged to court soon.
