Egba Group Urges FG to Complete Critical Link Road for Economic Growth

The Egba Economic Summit Group has called on the Federal Government to ensure the speedy and quality completion of the Idi-Aba-Abeokuta-Obafemi Awolowo link road connecting Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. In a letter to the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, the group highlighted the economic importance of the project and warned against delays and declining construction standards.

They emphasized the need to maintain design standards, especially around Abeokuta city, to maximize the road's durability and economic impact. The group commended ongoing federal road infrastructure projects but expressed concerns about stalled projects affecting the newly established Federal University of Medicine and Medical Sciences in Abeokuta.
