Edo Deputy Governor Urges Peace During Eid-ul-Mawlid

On the occasion of Eid-ul-Mawlid, which commemorates the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), Edo State Deputy Governor Dennis Idahosa called on Muslim faithful to embrace peace, unity, and compassion. In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Friday Aghedo, Idahosa encouraged Muslims to reflect on the exemplary life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), highlighting virtues such as peace, compassion, humility, tolerance, and love for humanity.

He urged the Muslim community to uphold these values in their daily lives and to strengthen bonds of brotherhood while promoting peaceful coexistence. Idahosa also called for prayers for the continued peace, unity, and prosperity of Edo State and Nigeria, and encouraged kindness towards the less privileged.

He expressed hope that Almighty Allah would accept the prayers of the faithful and grant wisdom to leaders, wishing all Muslims in the state a peaceful and fulfilling Eid-ul-Mawlid celebration.
