Ekiti Cargo Airport Approved for Commercial Flights, Boosting State's Connectivity

The Ekiti International Cargo Airport has received approval from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to commence commercial flight operations starting October 4, 2025. The airport had initially obtained flight approval in December 2024, with the recent extension granted after compliance with regulatory requirements.

The approval, valid for six months, was confirmed in a letter addressed to Governor Biodun Oyebanji. The airport successfully met operational standards during a validation inspection conducted by the NCAA, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations.

This development marks a significant step towards enhancing air transport infrastructure and connectivity in Ekiti State.
