Efon Kingdom Honors Oyebanji and Bamidele with Titles

During the grand finale of the 43rd Efon Alaaye Day, held on Saturday, Oba Emmanuel Aladejare, the Alaaye of Efon Kingdom, announced the conferment of honorary chieftaincy titles on Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji and Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele. The titles were awarded in recognition of their significant contributions to the development of the community.

Governor Oyebanji received the title of Bashorun Ataiyese of Efon Kingdom, while Senator Bamidele was honored with the title of Okanlomo Atunluse of Efon Kingdom. The formal adornment of their titles will occur as circumstances allow.

The event also celebrated the history of Efon Day, which began on August 24, 1984, as a thanksgiving service and has evolved into a cultural celebration. Oba Aladejare acknowledged the contributions towards the Palace Renovation Project, which has raised over N100 million.

The event featured various activities, including educational and sporting events, a free medical outreach, and a beauty pageant.
