Oyebanji Names Ekiti Buildings After Former Governors

Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji has honored former governors by naming newly constructed government buildings after them. The buildings named after immediate past Governor Dr Kayode Fayemi and former Governor Chief Ayodele Fayose are set for commissioning on July 31, 2026, and August 3, 2026, respectively.

Another building named after former Governor Engr Segun Oni is nearing completion and is scheduled for commissioning in October 2026. This initiative follows the October 2024 naming of the remodelled Presidential Lodge after the first civilian governor, Otunba Niyi Adebayo, which was commissioned during the second anniversary of Oyebanji's administration.

The former governors will serve as Special Guests of Honour at the commissioning events. This initiative reflects Governor Oyebanji’s commitment to completing projects initiated during his administration as he approaches the end of his first term and prepares for a second term, aligning with his Shared Prosperity Agenda.
