Ekiti Monarchs Praise Tinubu for Successful Rescue Operation

Traditional rulers from Ekiti State commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the successful rescue of 44 school pupils and teachers who were abducted nearly two months ago in Oriire Local Government Area, Oyo State. The monarchs described the military operation as a significant breakthrough in Nigeria's ongoing battle against insecurity.

In a statement issued on Sunday by the council's chairman, Oba Adejimi Adu Alagbado, they praised the courage and professionalism of the Nigerian Armed Forces and security agencies involved in the rescue mission. The traditional rulers called for sustained military action across the country to combat kidnapping and terrorism, urging the federal government to adopt firm strategies nationwide, particularly in areas frequently attacked by criminals.

They expressed condolences to the families of military personnel who lost their lives during the operation and emphasized the need for collaboration between the government, security agencies, and local communities to enhance national security.
