Ekiti Quantity Surveyors Push for Affordable Financing

The chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors, Ekiti State chapter, Olubunmi Ad Ojo, has called for the state government to create access to affordable financing to stimulate investment in infrastructure projects. Speaking in Ado Ekiti during a lecture titled "Public-Private Partnership and Sustainable Infrastructure Development," she highlighted the necessity of collaboration and transparency in public understanding to ensure the success of PPP projects.

Ad Ojo stressed that these projects are intended to serve a wide array of the population and require the involvement of the private sector to bring financial resources for infrastructure development. Folakemi Olomojobi, head of services in Ekiti State, noted the importance of a clear bureaucratic process to deliver results effectively.

The state has a history of political will to promote partnerships, with the PPP law re-enacted in 2020. Dr.
