Ekpo Commends LEE Engineering's Gas Utilization Efforts

Ekperikpe Ekpo, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, commended LEE Engineering Company for its significant advancements in Nigeria's gas utilization during a visit to the compressor station in Ologbo, Ikpoba Okha LGA, Edo State, on Saturday. This visit highlighted the company's role in realizing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's vision for mass gas utilization across the country.

LEE Engineering has constructed the Escravos-Lagos Pipeline System (ELPS) and is currently working on the Mildlin Compressor Station, which is expected to commence operations by the end of the third quarter of 2026. The facility will transport 2.2 billion standard cubic feet of gas per day, enhancing the domestic gas supply for power generation and industrialization.

Ekpo emphasized the importance of local expertise in executing such projects and expressed satisfaction with the progress made over the past three years. Dr.
