Darazo: El-Rufai's Governance Impacted All of Kaduna

Khamis Musa Darazo, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State and a loyalist of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, asserted that the governance style of former Kaduna State Governor Nasiru El-Rufai affected the entire state, not just Southern Kaduna. Speaking with journalists, Darazo addressed attempts to interpret comments made by Defence Minister Christopher Musa during an interview on Channels Television as sectional or religious.

He clarified that the grievances regarding El-Rufai's administration were widespread across Kaduna State. Darazo emphasized that Musa's reference to "our people" should be understood as encompassing all residents of Kaduna State.

He rejected any interpretation that suggested a religious basis for criticism of El-Rufai, stating that both President Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani are Muslims who promote unity. Darazo urged Nigerians to avoid turning the issue into a religious or regional confrontation and to focus on responsible leadership that fosters peace and security.
