Jigawa Communities Get Electricity Restored After 16-Year Blackout

After enduring 16 years of complete blackout, Jigawa communities, particularly Taura and Kwalam, have had electricity restored, bringing relief to households and businesses. The restoration project was launched by Governor Umar Namadi as part of efforts to reconnect 104 communities with stable power supply.

The Jigawa State Government heavily invested in rehabilitating old lines, replacing damaged infrastructure, and upgrading distribution networks to ensure sustainable electricity access. This initiative aims to stimulate economic growth, reduce rural-urban migration, and improve the overall quality of life in the affected communities.
