Elite FC Claims DOFT 2026 Title with Narrow Victory

The fourth edition of the D’Royal Off-Season Football Tournament (DOFT 2026), known as “Akara Na Senior Burger,” concluded on Sunday, July 12, in Ondo State. Elite FC, making their tournament debut, triumphed over the defending champions Olukayode FC with a score of 1-0, securing the championship trophy and a cash prize of ₦1,000,000.

Olukayode FC received the runner-up prize of ₦500,000, while Akure The King City claimed third place after defeating Velocity FC 2-0, earning ₦200,000. The tournament also introduced the inaugural DOFT Women’s Cup, where Onimarg FC emerged victorious with a prize of ₦200,000, while K.D.O.

FC and Havilah Queens received ₦100,000 and ₦50,000, respectively. Additionally, the first Para-Table Tennis Championship was held, featuring seven athletes who collectively received ₦300,000.

The event was supported by various sponsors, and Mr. Olaniboji Mathew (D’Royal), the President of DOFT, expressed gratitude to all stakeholders and promised an even better fifth edition. The tournament concluded with fireworks, celebrating sportsmanship and unity.
