Father of Emir Ajagungbade Shares Grief Over Son's Promise

The father of Olalekan Oyeyemi, also known as Emir Ajagungbade, has publicly expressed his sorrow over a promise his son could not fulfill due to his untimely death. In a video, the father recounted how Oyeyemi had intended to sponsor his first pilgrimage to Mecca, explaining that he had delayed the trip until his father could accompany him, as the elder had never visited Mecca before.

Oyeyemi had begun preparations for the journey when he was tragically killed on September 13 during violent incidents at the Mayfair Motor Park in Ile-Ife. The Osun State Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting and are working to identify those responsible.

The bereaved father described his son as a caring individual and concluded his emotional message with a request for prayers.
