Bagudu Urges Governors to Follow Sokoto's Food Initiative

During an event in Bodinga Local Government Area, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, called on Nigerian governors to emulate the developmental initiatives of Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu. Bagudu praised Aliyu for his initiative to sell food items at subsidized rates, which aims to mitigate the impact of rising food prices on rural dwellers and junior civil servants.

He commended the governor for making food more affordable and accessible, particularly for low-income earners. Bagudu also acknowledged the state government's decision to purchase food items from peasant farmers, which he noted would enhance economic activities for farmers.

He described Governor Aliyu as a humble and courageous leader and expressed pride in being associated with his administration. Additionally, Bagudu recognized Senator Wamakko for his efforts in promoting national unity and supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's reforms aimed at improving living conditions in Nigeria.

The event concluded with Governor Aliyu presenting a souvenir to Bagudu.
