Shagari Praises Sokoto Governor for Development Projects

Former Deputy Governor of Sokoto State, Mukhtar Shehu Shagari, commended the current Governor, Dr. Ahmed Aliyu, for his significant transformation efforts in the state. In a press statement released on Thursday by his media assistant, Comrade Musa Ubandawaki, Shagari noted the APC-led administration's extensive investments in various sectors, including education, agriculture, healthcare, religious affairs, social welfare, environmental sanitation, and infrastructure development.

He emphasized that the governor's initiatives in the education sector aim to bridge the gap between northern and southern Nigeria. Shagari, who previously served as the Minister of Water Resources during Obasanjo’s administration, remarked on the visible achievements of Governor Aliyu's administration, particularly in enhancing living conditions and establishing a foundation for sustainable development through various programs and projects.
