Ikpeme's Sports Development Book Launched in Abuja

During the launch of Dr. Emmanuel Edem Ikpeme's new book on sports development at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, prominent figures including John Owan Enoh, Shehu Dikko, and Liyel Imoke commended the work.

Enoh, the Minister of State for Investment, emphasized the book's intellectual contributions to examining Nigerian sports and called for deeper reforms in the sector. Dikko, the Chairman of the National Sports Commission, noted the significant increase in the sports budget following President Bola Tinubu's directives and urged for the restoration of the National Sports Commission to enhance professionalism in sports administration.

Imoke reflected on his time as Cross River State Governor, highlighting the success of hosting national football fixtures. The book is designed to encourage informed dialogue and practical actions to strengthen Nigeria's sports sector, which is seen as a vital asset for youth empowerment and economic growth.
