Dr. Ikpeme to Launch Book on Sports Development in Nigeria

Dr. Emmanuel Ikpeme, the Deputy Secretary General of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), is set to publicly present his book titled "Sports Development in Nigeria" on June 18, 2026.

The event will take place at the VIP lounge of the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, starting at noon. Ikpeme, who has served as a lecturer at the University of Calabar and has extensive experience in sports administration, aims to contribute meaningfully to the discourse on sports development in Nigeria through this publication.

The book consists of eleven chapters dedicated to various sports and a twelfth chapter addressing the critical issue of anti-doping in contemporary sports administration. Ikpeme has been involved in sports administration in Cross River State and has held the position of Deputy Secretary General of the NFF since March 2015, having been appointed as Deputy Secretary General Technical in 2007.

The book presentation is expected to attract prominent figures from politics, academia, and the sports community across Nigeria.
