Peter Adejoh Condemns Fresh Kidnappings in Benue South, Calls for Urgent Action

Peter Adejoh, a prominent figure in the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has vehemently criticized the surge in kidnappings in Benue South, particularly highlighting two separate incidents within 48 hours involving worshippers and travelers in different local government areas. The first incident occurred during a night vigil at a church in Oju, where nine worshippers were abducted, followed by another attack along the Okpokwu corridor where fourteen travelers were kidnapped.

Adejoh expressed deep concern over the deteriorating security situation in Benue South, emphasizing the need for immediate and decisive action to rescue the victims and restore peace. He urged security agencies to intensify intelligence gathering and ground operations to ensure the swift release of the abducted individuals.

Adejoh also called on the Benue State government to demonstrate strong leadership by enhancing security coordination and implementing early warning mechanisms to safeguard the lives of innocent citizens.
