Entry Deadline for 2025 Maltina Teacher of the Year Competition Extended to September 5

The deadline for submissions to the 2025 Maltina Teacher of the Year Competition has been extended to September 5th. Nigerian Breweries Plc's Corporate Affairs Director, Uzodinma Odenigbo, announced the extension in response to requests from teachers needing more time to complete their submissions.

The competition, now in its 11th edition, is open to secondary school teachers currently teaching in Nigeria and aims to recognize and reward outstanding educators. The overall winner will receive a trophy and a cash prize of N10 million, along with capacity development training abroad.

Additionally, the winning teacher's school will benefit from a N30 million infrastructure project. The initiative, established in 2015 and funded by the Nigerian Ohiwerei Education Trust Fund, aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 to improve education in Nigeria.
