João Pedro Wins EA Sports Premier League Player Award

Chelsea forward João Pedro has been named the EA Sports Premier League Player of the Month for August 2026, marking his first Premier League Player of the Month award. He is the first Chelsea player to receive this accolade since Cole Palmer in September 2024.

Pedro excelled in Chelsea's opening two Premier League matches, contributing four goals—two goals and two assists—which helped secure victories against Fulham and Brighton & Hove Albion. He scored just 33 seconds into the match against Fulham and assisted Palmer for the winning goal.

In the subsequent match against Brighton, Pedro scored again and provided another assist for Palmer. His outstanding performances garnered significant public support, leading to his selection as Player of the Month.

The award was presented to him at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground, marking a significant individual achievement early in the 2026/27 season.
