Saudi Arabia Sets Visa-Free Entry Rules for UK Citizens

Saudi Arabia has confirmed that citizens of the United Kingdom are eligible for its Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) scheme, which allows them to enter the Kingdom without a traditional visa. To utilize this scheme, UK nationals must meet four specific requirements: possess a passport valid for at least six months, provide a recent personal photograph, submit a fully completed visa application to avoid processing delays, and pay applicable fees where required.

Each traveller, including children, must file a separate application. The ETA grants multiple entries over a two-year validity period, offering a more straightforward travel option compared to conventional visa procedures, as it eliminates the need for embassy visits.

Saudi authorities have emphasized the importance of accurate application completion, warning that errors could lead to processing delays. The fee requirement may vary, with some applicants potentially exempt from payment based on their circumstances.
