Saudi Arabia Announces Visa on Arrival Process for 2026

Saudi Arabia has outlined a four-step procedure for eligible travelers to obtain a visa on arrival at its airports, effective in 2026. This service is available to visitors holding valid US, UK, or Schengen visas.

The steps include presenting the passport and visa at the immigration counter, paying a visa fee of 402.21 Saudi riyals via credit card, receiving a visa stamp in the passport, and completing the process within an average of 15 to 30 minutes. The Saudi government advises travelers to apply for an e-Visa before departure to avoid queues and reduce waiting times, especially during peak periods.

While the on-arrival option is available, authorities prefer pre-departure applications to alleviate airport congestion. Travelers are encouraged to confirm their eligibility based on their current visa before assuming qualification for either route.
