However, UK citizens are explicitly barred from using the ETA to seek employment or to participate in the Hajj pilgrimage. Both activities necessitate separate documentation and authorization from Saudi authorities.

For those intending to perform Hajj, a specific Hajj visa process must be followed, regardless of nationality. Additionally, individuals seeking paid employment in Saudi Arabia cannot use the ETA as a substitute for a proper work authorization or employment visa.

Those found working without the correct documentation may face legal consequences under Saudi law. This clarification serves as an important reminder of the limitations associated with the ETA for UK nationals.
