IGP Disu Celebrates Retired Officers in Lagos Ceremony

On Thursday, the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, assured 24 retired officers of the Nigeria Police Force of continuous support and commitment from the Force during a retirement reception held by the State Criminal Investigation Department (State CID) in Panti, Yaba, Lagos. The retirees, who served for 35 years, were honored for their dedication and sacrifices.

Disu emphasized that their relationship with the Force would remain intact, stating, “You are part of the system and will never be left alone.” Deputy Commissioner of Police Dayo Akinbisehin praised the retirees as exceptional individuals who dedicated their lives to protecting citizens, acknowledging the challenges they faced in their careers. He also recognized the families of the retirees as “unsung heroes” for their support during the officers' service.

Akinbisehin encouraged the retirees to stay connected to the police family and wished them a peaceful retirement, thanking Lagos State Commissioner of Police Tijani Fatai and other dignitaries for their support.
