Eba Accuses Governor Otu of Fraud and Property Grab

Alphonsus Ogar Eba, the former chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State, accused Governor Bassey Otu of engaging in fraudulent activities, including the diversion of public assets and awarding projects to associates. Eba, who is now the running mate to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Arthur Jarvis Archibong, made these allegations during a press briefing at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Press Centre in Calabar.

He claimed that Otu converted a federal government rubber estate into a private oil palm estate and alleged that the governor and his wife acquired multiple properties since taking office. Eba also criticized the administration for frustrating a Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) intervention for the construction of the Adiabo road.

In response, Gill Nsa, the governor's Special Adviser on Public Affairs, dismissed Eba's allegations as politically motivated and lacking credibility, citing Eba's removal from APC leadership due to financial impropriety.
