Tuggar Denies Criticism of Tinubu, Affirms Loyalty to APC

Yusuf Tuggar, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, issued a statement denying any criticism of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and reaffirming his loyalty to the administration's policies. This clarification came after remarks made during a recent interview were misrepresented, according to Tuggar.

He stated that his comments, which were made in Hausa, were taken out of context by media aid Abdulkadir Alkassim. Tuggar emphasized that he did not criticize President Tinubu, calling such suggestions false and a deliberate distortion of his remarks.

He expressed his full commitment to supporting the administration's agenda, particularly in promoting internal democracy within the All Progressives Congress (APC) and ensuring a transparent candidate selection process in Bauchi State. Tuggar raised concerns about alleged efforts to influence the APC's governorship process, advocating for a fair and open contest for candidates.

He also referenced President Tinubu's directive regarding political appointees seeking elective office.
