Ex-Gov Amosun Calls for BSc and HND as Minimum Qualification for President and Governors

Former Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, advocates for a constitutional amendment to require a Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) as the minimum qualification for anyone aspiring to contest for the presidency or governorship in Nigeria. Speaking at the Lam Adesina Annual Lecture in Oyo State, Amosun emphasized the need for competent and educated individuals in public office to address governance challenges in the country.

He also highlighted the importance of civic education and historical knowledge in building a sustainable democracy. Amosun praised the late Lam Adesina's exemplary leadership and urged a return to ethical governance to combat corruption and promote effective leadership.
