Adamu Empowers 2,800 Farmers in Nasarawa State

On Friday, former Inspector-General of Police Mohammed Adamu initiated an agricultural intervention program in Karu Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, benefiting 2,800 farmers from the Western Senatorial Zone. The program involved the distribution of fertilizers, modern farming implements, and compensation to farmers.

Adamu stated that the initiative aims to complement government efforts in achieving food security and improving rural livelihoods. He emphasized the importance of private support for farmers, urging individuals and corporate organizations to assist in boosting food production.

Adamu also announced plans to extend similar support to women in small-scale businesses and youths in the state. The Chairman of the Nasarawa State All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), Ambassador Isaac Kugbu, represented by Isah Buba, praised Adamu's intervention as exemplary leadership that would enhance food production.

Kugbu highlighted that this was not the first support farmers had received from Adamu, who has consistently contributed to agriculture and food security in the region.
