Adamu Empowers Nasarawa Farmers with Agricultural Support

Former Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, has initiated an agricultural support program in Nasarawa State by distributing essential farming inputs to local farmers. The distribution included 100 tricycles, 200 soil trilling machines, 2,500 herbicides, 12,000 liquid organic fertilizers, 1,500 bags of NPK and Urea fertilizers, and 500 Nkeplack sprayers.

Adamu emphasized the importance of supporting farmers to modernize farming methods and improve local agricultural production. He clarified that this initiative is not a competition with government efforts but a contribution to enhance food security across 59 electoral wards in the Nasarawa West Senatorial District, with plans to extend similar support to the Nasarawa North and Southern zones.

Additionally, he announced cash grants of ₦100,000 each for 5,000 young entrepreneurs to foster micro-enterprises and economic independence, alongside the distribution of essential food items and humanitarian relief materials to vulnerable families throughout the state.
