Katsina Ex-SSG Calls for Action Against Banditry

Dr. Mustapha Moh. Inuwa, the former Secretary to the Katsina State Government, voiced serious concerns regarding the persistent killings and abductions by bandits in Katsina State.

Speaking at a stakeholders' meeting of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Saturday, Inuwa criticized the government, particularly the All Progressives Congress (APC), for failing to recognize the severe security challenges faced by residents. He highlighted that attacks by bandits have become a daily occurrence, resulting in loss of lives, kidnappings, and significant hardships for communities.

Inuwa lamented that no day passes in Katsina without reports of banditry, including the abduction and rape of women. He urged both state and federal governments to acknowledge the scale of the security crisis and implement proactive measures to end the violence, warning that failure to act would undermine efforts to restore peace and security in the state.

Inuwa prayed for the safe return of those kidnapped and emphasized the need for urgent action to address the ongoing security challenges.
