Wafari Theman Launches 17-Point Agenda for Adamawa Governorship

Mr. Wafari Theman, a former member of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, has entered the 2027 governorship race in Adamawa State as a candidate for the Young Progressive Party. On Monday in Yola, he unveiled a 17-point agenda aimed at introducing modern technology and skills-driven governance to accelerate development in the state.

Theman emphasized the importance of technology in addressing insecurity, stating that modern security operations require advanced methods rather than conventional approaches. He plans to establish a Security Trust Fund within his first 100 days if elected.

His agenda also prioritizes rural communities and aims to revive cultural values through collaboration with traditional rulers and civil society. In education, Theman intends to shift focus from certificate-based education to skills acquisition, ensuring that no child is denied basic education due to financial constraints.

Additionally, he aims to improve the healthcare sector by addressing gaps in medical equipment and drug supply.
