Wafari Theman Promises Security Fund and Community Focus

Wafari Theman, the gubernatorial candidate of the Young Progressive Party (YPP) in Adamawa state, has committed to establishing a Security Trust Fund within his first 100 days in office if elected governor in 2027. During an interactive session in Yola, he outlined his manifesto, which includes 17 priority areas, emphasizing a community-based approach to security challenges.

Theman stated that his strategy would involve collaboration with traditional rulers, civil society organizations, religious groups, youths, and women, focusing on rural communities. He also aims to improve education and health sectors, ensuring that no child is out of school due to poverty.

His health policy will address gaps in equipment and drug supply. Theman highlighted the alarming poverty rate of 74.8 percent among youths in the state, pledging to tackle it and establish digital technology hubs in all three senatorial districts to empower the youth.
