Eze Madumere Critiques Leadership Focused on Power

Eze Madumere, the former Deputy Governor of Imo State and candidate for the Imo East Senatorial District under the People's Democratic Party (PDP), expressed concerns about leadership in Nigeria, stating that when leaders focus more on power than performance, the people suffer. He highlighted the challenges stemming from weak institutions and poor policy implementation, asserting that leadership should prioritize service to the people.

Madumere emphasized the importance of restoring public trust and the need for a people-centered government. He noted that the PDP remains a formidable opposition party in Nigeria, committed to rebuilding and strengthening its political structure ahead of the 2027 elections.

He criticized the current leadership under the All Progressives Congress (APC) for losing touch with the realities faced by ordinary Nigerians and stressed the necessity for credible leadership that listens to the people and creates opportunities for all.
