Ezekwesili Endorses Badejo-Okusanya for NBA Presidency

Obi Ezekwesili, a former Minister of Education, has endorsed Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya for the presidency of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA). In a statement issued in Abuja on Sunday, Ezekwesili described Badejo-Okusanya as a principled leader with a vision necessary for the legal profession.

She commended Badejo-Okusanya's extensive experience, courage, and commitment to ethics in the legal profession, emphasizing the need for the legal community to focus on improving the welfare of young lawyers. Ezekwesili expressed delight at seeing such a capable candidate run for NBA president.

This endorsement follows that of Paul Adefarasin, founder and senior pastor of House on the Rock, who also supports Badejo-Okusanya's candidacy. Adefarasin highlighted her integrity and dedication to national development.

Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya, born on January 15, 1967, has decades of experience in public service and private legal practice and was appointed General Counsel to the Governor of Lagos State in July 2011. She was called to the Nigerian Bar on May 14, 2002, and was elevated to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria in September 2025.
