However, a closer examination using verification tools and reverse image searches revealed that the video actually depicts a Sudanese nomad group preparing to migrate due to violence in Sudan's Blue Nile State. The earliest verified instance of this video dates back to April 2026, with posts indicating it shows a tribe displaced by conflict, heading towards Ethiopia's Gambella region.

There is no credible evidence linking the video's content to Oyo State, Nigeria, and its misrepresentation has fueled unnecessary alarm regarding the situation in Nigeria.
