Fadahunsi Denies Misinterpretation on Violence Retaliation

Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, the Senator representing Osun East Senatorial District and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Industries, addressed a viral video that misrepresented his statements about violence against members of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He stated that the video, circulated by Davido and Pelumi Olajengbesi, was edited to distort his message.

Fadahunsi emphasized that he warned of potential retaliation if the killings of APC members by alleged Accord Party thugs continued, particularly referencing incidents in Ilesa and Esa-Oke. He reported that three young men were killed at Kajola Junction and more than eight in Igbogi, with over twelve APC members reportedly killed without adequate government condemnation.

Fadahunsi urged voters to embrace peace and reject violence, asserting that elections should focus on ideas and policies rather than bloodshed. He called for calm and civic participation in the upcoming elections, stressing the importance of protecting lives and democracy.
