Fadahunsi Apologizes for Controversial 'Kill Accord' Remarks

Senator Fadahunsi, representing the Osun East Senatorial District and a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), issued an apology for his controversial remarks made during a campaign visit to the palace of the Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland, Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup. His comments, which included a directive to APC supporters to attack members of the rival Accord Party, sparked public outrage and led to an invitation for questioning by the Osun State Police Command.

Following his interrogation at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Osogbo, he was granted bail. The Osun State Attorney-General subsequently filed a suit seeking an investigation into the alleged death threat.

In his apology, Fadahunsi expressed gratitude to the Owa for his calm handling of the situation and urged political leaders and residents to prioritize peace, stating that the peace of Osun State is more important than political disputes. He reiterated his demand for justice regarding the deaths of his party members.
