Falconets Ready for Spain in U-20 World Cup Opener

The Falconets of Nigeria, under the guidance of head coach Moses Aduku, are fully prepared for their opening game against Spain at the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. The match is scheduled for September 7 in Sosnowiec, Poland.

The team has completed their final preparations, which included two warm-up matches: a 1-1 draw against Korea Republic and a 1-0 victory over hosts Poland in Brzeg. Coach Aduku expressed satisfaction with the players' performances in these friendlies and confirmed that there are no injury concerns ahead of the tournament.

He acknowledged that the Falconets missed opportunities to secure a win against Korea Republic but praised their opponents for providing a strong challenge. Aduku emphasized the team's focus on taking one game at a time, stating, "We are here to take one game at a time, and we have no other game but to play against Spain.".
