Chaos Erupts at Davido's Enugu Concert as Fans Criticize Security Measures

Nigerian afrobeat superstar Davido's concert in Enugu, part of his 5ive Tour, was marred by chaos as fans criticized security arrangements. The event, held at Michael Okpara Square on November 1, faced overcrowding issues, poor crowd control, theft, and security breaches.

Reports indicated that around 40,000 fans attended, nearly double the venue's capacity, leading to disorder and safety concerns. Attendees shared accounts of gate breaches, theft, harassment, and violence, with some describing the scene as chaotic and distressing.

Fans lamented the lack of security measures, especially for women, and called for better event organization to prioritize safety. The concert was part of Davido's tour that began in Akwa Ibom on October 26 and was scheduled to conclude in Lagos on December 25.
