Fayemi Urges Unity After Oyebanji's Re-election Victory

Kayode Fayemi, the immediate past governor of Ekiti State, congratulated Biodun Oyebanji on his re-election, describing the outcome as a clear endorsement of Oyebanji's administration's performance. In a statement issued by Ahmad Sajoh, head of Fayemi's media office, he noted that Oyebanji, representing the All Progressives Congress, won the governorship election across 16 local government areas with a resounding vote of confidence in his leadership.

Fayemi commended the people of Ekiti for exercising their civic responsibility peacefully and praised the Independent National Electoral Commission and security agencies for conducting the election securely. He urged Oyebanji not to relent in consolidating the gains of his first term, particularly in infrastructure, healthcare, agriculture, and human capital development.

Fayemi extended a hand of fellowship to all candidates who contested the election, including those from the People's Democratic Party and the African Democratic Congress, urging them to accept the election outcome in good faith and work together for the common good of Ekiti State.
