Isaac Fayose Critiques Brother's REA Chairmanship Role

Isaac Fayose publicly criticized his elder brother, Ayo Fayose, for accepting the chairmanship of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), stating that the position is too small for him. This remark was made in a video posted on Instagram following President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's announcement of Ayo Fayose's appointment, which included 25 other names for leadership roles across ten federal agencies.

Isaac Fayose argued that the appointment did not reflect his brother's stature, as he believed Ayo deserved a more significant role, such as a minister or ambassador. He expressed disappointment that the appointment was merely as chairman of a parastatal.

Isaac also linked the timing of the appointment to a recent visit by former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, suggesting that the appointment was politically motivated. He emphasized that Ayo Fayose has long maintained a stance against seeking government positions after leaving office, preferring to focus on private business.
