Tinubu Appoints Ayo Fayose as REA Chairman, 25 Others

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Ayo Fayose, the former governor of Ekiti State, as the chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA). This announcement was made on Monday and is effective immediately.

Alongside Fayose, 25 other individuals were appointed to various leadership roles across 10 federal government agencies and commissions. Major General Junaid Bindawa was named chairman of the National Salaries and Wages Commission.

The board of the REA will include members such as Alhaji Ahmadu Abubakar, Ilyasu Ibrahim Makinta, and Abba Abubakar Aliyu, with three executive directors remaining from previous appointments. Other notable appointments include Olajumok Okoya-Thomas as secretary of the National Salaries and Wages Commission and Dr.

Ogbol as a member representing Lagos. The appointments reflect a strategic move by the Tinubu administration to fill key positions in federal agencies.
