Atiku Abubakar Challenges Tinubu Over Allegations

Atiku Abubakar, in a statement from his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, criticized Bola Tinubu for reviving old allegations from the Obasanjo era, suggesting it reflects a lack of answers to pressing economic issues such as rising food prices and living costs. Atiku stated that no court has convicted him on these allegations and challenged anyone with credible evidence against him to present it legally.

He contrasted his openness to scrutiny with Tinubu's actions, noting that Tinubu sought to protect his records in an American court regarding FBI and DEA documents. Atiku asserted that the EFCC should function independently and not be used as a political weapon.

He emphasized that recycled allegations do not address the economic hardships faced by Nigerians, stating that the old political tactics will not deter him as the 2027 elections approach.
