FCE Eha-Amufu Denies Fraud Allegations Amid Fire Incident

The management of the Federal College of Education (FCE) Eha-Amufu, represented by Deputy Provost Dr. Samuel Odo, has denied allegations regarding the burning of procurement documents to cover up financial fraud.

In an interview, Odo described the insinuations as sheer mischief linked to a fire incident that occurred on March 3, 2026. He clarified that the fire did not destroy any procurement documents, which were reportedly relocated to a new office earlier that year.

The college's governing council has decided to investigate the fire incident. Odo condemned the false allegations against the outgoing provost, Prof.

Paulin Ngozi Ikwuegbu, who has been credited with significant developments at the institution since her appointment in 2018. Under her leadership, FCE Eha-Amufu has seen improvements in infrastructure and educational support, including the construction of new facilities and the establishment of a 200-bed student hostel.

Odo also highlighted ongoing challenges such as arson and land encroachment affecting the college.
