FCT-IRS Launches TaxPorta Digital Tax Compliance App

The Federal Capital Territory Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS) launched a digital tax administration platform named TaxPorta in Abuja on Tuesday. Mr.

Michael Ango, the Executive Chairman of FCT-IRS, introduced this initiative aimed at simplifying tax compliance for taxpayers. The platform allows users to register, file tax returns, make payments, and obtain tax clearance certificates online, eliminating the need for physical visits to the agency's offices.

This launch is part of a broader digital transformation drive to implement Nigeria's 2025 tax reform. Ango explained that TaxPorta is fully integrated and configured to reflect provisions of new tax laws, including automatic application of statutory reliefs.

Taxpayers can upload income details and access services from home or office, enhancing convenience and transparency in tax administration.
